Vacancy for Communications Officer
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines National Insurance Services is inviting applications for the post of Communications Officer.
Job Brief
The prospective Communications Officer will play a key role in supporting the internal and external communications strategy of the NIS. The successful candidate will assist in the development, writing, and dissemination of content across traditional and digital platforms, help coordinate public relations activities, and support initiatives that promote the mission, vision, and values of the NIS. The Communications Officer will contribute to the effective delivery of public information and customer engagement campaigns.
The list of principal duties includes:
- Coordinate outreach campaigns, surveys, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Draft and edit press releases, newsletters, website content, speeches, and other promotional materials.
- Manage and update NIS’ social media platforms and digital content.
- Support the planning and execution of events and promotional activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of communication policies and strategies.
- Liaise with media houses, customers, and other partners as directed.
- Monitor public feedback and prepare reports and recommendations.
- Assist in improving customer engagement through communication tools.
- Maintain records of communications, materials, and media interactions.

Minimum Educational qualifications and experience
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, or public relations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher) and familiarity with social media and design tools.
